MULTIPLEX has been appointed to deliver the $300 million Cbus Property office tower in the Adelaide CBD.
The 21-level development at 83 Pine Street, within the Adelaide CBD office core, will be comprised of over 30,000sqm of premium commercial office space, including 1,750sqm of flexible floor plates.
“83 Pirie adds to our long-standing presence in South Australia, having delivered $500 million worth of projects in the region over the past 30 years and developed long-standing relationships with the community and local supply chain,” said Graham Cottam, regional managing director of Multiplex Victoria and South Australia.
The PCA A-Grade development, designed by Woods Bagot, will also feature a large lobby, a 450sqm multi-purpose wellness centre, with premium end-of-trip-facilities, a rooftop terrace and an on-site three-level car park with an approximately 110 car capacity.
The site is set to diversify Cbus Property’s investment portfolio which currently more that 40% occupied with long-term government tenants.
“We would like to thank the State Government for its endorsement of the development as the anchor tenant,” said Adrian Pozzo, CEO of Cbus Property.
“Responding to a future Adelaide workforce with a focus on sustainability, wellness, connection to the public community, nature and productivity, 83 Pirie is an incredibly exciting project that will optimise the site’s potential and create a new landmark for the city, as well as reinvigorate the city’s office precinct.”
Upon completion 83 Pirie will provide office space, for around 3,000 workers and is targeting a 5.5 NABERS Energy and 4 star NABERS Water rating, in addition to a 6 Star Green Star Base Building rating and GOLD WELL certification.
“Adelaide continues to be a critical market for us and we are pleased to have invested in significant resources on the ground to deliver this project,” added Cottam.
Multiplex has recently completed around $100 million of projects across Adelaide, including the construction of Burnside Village Shopping Centre, Medina Grand and The Rowlands Apartments.
While most recently, Multiplex was awarded ECI render with Ramsay Health Care for the $256.6 million development of Joondalup Health Campus in Western Australia.
With construction already underway, 83 Pirie is scheduled for a late 2022 completion.
