MAINBRACE has appointed a new ECI manager in John Brunette, as the construction company focuses on smoothly delivering projects to customers from the get go.
With previous experience at Cerno Group and Lendlease, Brunette has worked in both construction and national rollout projects, and as both client and contractor.
Brunette, who will now work out of Mainbrace’s head office in Sydney, will work with customers from the inception of a project, utilising Mainbrace’s staging, sequencing and construction methodology.
“Early intervention through the ECI service offering ensures the project’s design is developed in the most efficient manner for construction, ensuring the end product is fully representative of the design, without compromise,” said Brunette.
“It enables Mainbrace to add value through each stage of the design and construction process, in terms of build quality, time and cost efficiencies, risk mitigation and safety outcomes,” he added.
This new position for Brunette, reflects the companies renewed emphasis on Early Contractor Involvement services, allowing Mainbrace to greater manage risk and issues before they arise.
Additionally, such services allow the company to control prices, manage design expertise, ensure the buildability of a project and optimise time and costs.
“This is an important appointment for Mainbrace as it represents an investment on behalf of our customers which will save them time and money,” said Rob Doust, managing director of Mainbrace.
“When Mainbrace is in the room from the start, we are able to embed our specialist knowledge of buildability and detailed construction costs, to ensure the design is appropriate in a budgetary and a buildability sense, to minimise duplication and avoiding costly re-designs.
“John has the right experience and skills to enhance and grow our ECI service offering and we’re thrilled he’s part of the team,” concluded Doust.
