CROMWELL has appointed Brett Hinton as acting chief financial officer while Michael Wilde fills in as CEO, following a turbulent period for senior brass at the group.
Its previous chief executive – one and of its founders – Paul Weightman announced his retirement last month, shortly after a combative AGM in which shareholders inflicted a second strike against the group’s remuneration report, and saw at least three executive departures.
Meanwhile, activist shareholder Gary Weiss was elected to the board after multiple attempts in September as part of a ARA Asset Management’s long running campaign to take control of the group.
Also this week, Cromwell appointed Pertti Vanhanen as managing director for its European operations.
