DIGITAL property settlement platform Property Exchange Australia has appointed Simon Smith as chief operations officer.
He joins from international management consultancy Nous Group. Smith brings extensive public sector experience having served 24 years with the NSW government in several roles including Secretary of the Department of Industry in the Baird government; CEO of the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation; and Deputy Director General of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
PEXA CEO Glenn King said Smith was a high-quality addition to the executive team and would help drive growth and innovation at PEXA amid the accelerating adoption of econveyancing around the nation.
“He is a highly respected leader and brings deep experience in public policy, regulatory reform and government decision-making to PEXA.” King said.
Smith commences his role on 9 December.
