THE Australian Institute of Conveyancers SA Division has appointed Carmel Noon as its CEO.
Noon brings more than 20 years’ experience across the private, public and university sectors. Her previous roles include state manager, SA & NT, for the Australian Institute of Company Directors; CEO of the Institute of Public Administration; CEO of the Kangaroo Island Council; state manager, SA & NT, for the Royal Australian College of GPs; CEO of the University of Adelaide’s Student Care & Student Services; and principal consultant (executive education) at the University of South Australia.
Recently appointed AICSA president Michelle Hendry said Noon was a highly-skilled professional with a wealth of knowledge, achievements and experience in changing environments, professional development and not-for-profit, membership-based organisations across several sectors.
“I’m excited to work with Ms Noon and believe her background and experience is perfectly aligned with the current and future needs of the AICSA, its members and the changes that are occurring in our industry.” Hendry said.
Noon said she was “thrilled” to have been appointed to the role, recognising that conveyancing was the pivotal process in buying and selling property. Over 90% of conveyancers in South Australia being members of the AICSA.
“I look forward to working with all stakeholders as the CEO for the Australian Institute of Conveyancing SA and to assist the council in strengthening the AICSA and the profession of conveyancing,” she concluded.
