KNIGHT Frank has grown its presence in Brisbane’s city fringe market with the appointment of Chris Mitchell as associate director, office leasing.
Mitchell brings 23 years’ experience working across the Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Sydney CBD markets including in commercial agency, residential, commercial, medical and retail development.
He joins from Brisbane-based property developer DeCee Develop, where he was managing director.
Knight Frank head of office leasing Queensland Mark McCann said the appointment would strengthen and grow the agency’s presence in the Brisbane fringe office leasing market.
“We are experiencing significant demand from clients with a need for a well-connected and knowledgeable agency in this precinct, and we expect this to increase next year as sentiment and confidence returns.
“Chris brings an interesting combination of skills, both within agency originally and client side, with a strong background in property development and a very solid client contact base in Brisbane,” he added.
“Moving into next year we expect to expand our fringe office leasing team further, particularly as conditions improve.” McCann said.
Mitchell said he was looking forward to working once again on the agency side to drive the firm’s growth in the Brisbane fringe office market.
“There is a great deal of optimism around at the moment, and this is a positive sign for greater activity in 2021,” he said. “I am excited to deliver a great experience for our clients and provide the best service to ensure their needs are not only met, but exceeded.”
