ALAN Carpenter, the former Premier of Western Australia, has been appointed to the board of DevelopmentWA.
He has been appointed a director of the state development agency, which comprises of both the Western Australian Land Authority (WALA) and Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) boards, for two years.
Lands Minister Ben Wyatt said Carpenter brings with him a wealth of experience, strong leadership skills and significant governance proficiency.
“The remarkable wealth of experience and expertise that Mr Carpenter will bring to DevelopmentWA will no doubt be of great benefit to the agency in achieving its economic development and jobs growth goals.
“I also extend my appreciation to outgoing Director Ms Kylee Schoonens for her four years dedicated service and expertise.” Wyatt said.
