FITZROYS has appointed Michael Ridler as a director, responsible for the growing asset management business.
Ridler brings over 20 years’ experience and held senior appointments with Juilliard Group, JLL and more recently Knight Frank, leading the Victorian asset management services business for the past nine years.
Fitzroys director David Bourke said: “Michael is one of the most experienced and respected commercial asset management specialists in Victoria. In his career to date he has won the confidence and respect of many of Australia’s major property owners and achieved the enviable position of being highly regarded by both owners and his peers.”
“We are very excited that Michael is joining us at this time and the talent and skill set that he brings to Fitzroys will complement our asset management team and will provide an exciting springboard for growth,” Bourke said.
Peter Weatherby, who has overseen the business for the past 32 years is stepping back from his current role and will continue to be involved with the firm in an ongoing consultancy role.
Ridler said this is a unique opportunity to join such an established business and an asset management team known for its expertise and consistently high service levels, and which has excelled under the pressure that the current COVID-19 pandemic has created for landlords and tenants.
