HEALTHCARE property funds manager Centuria Heathley has appointed Rod Owen-Jones as portfolio manager of its 48 assets across Australia.
A growing healthcare portfolio and a number of upcoming acquisitions has prompted Centuria Heathley to bolster its team.
Owen-Jones has been working in the healthcare, office and industrial real estate sectors for AMP Capital since 2004, holding various roles within its real estate and infrastructure business units.
Most recently, he held investment and portfolio management roles in AMP Capital’s infrastructure investments in aged care and healthcare including Opal Aged Care and Blue Cross Aged Care.
Andrew Hemming, managing director, said the success of Centuria Heathley’s strategy to partner with growing healthcare operators has delivered a growing pipeline of property acquisitions, which has in turn driven the need for additional asset management resources.
ASX-listed Centuria launched into the healthcare real estate sector last year in May by acquiring a 63.06% stake in Heathley for $24.4 million.
