DIVERSIFIED property group Quintessential Equity has appointed Kane Constructions to deliver the $85 million office building in Geelong that will become the headquarter of health insurer GMHBA.
Currently the 60 Moorabool St building is 85% pre-leased, with other tenants including Victory Corporate Serviced Offices and Morris Finance, and anchor tenant GMHBA has leased three of the eight levels.
Designed by Cox Architecture, the mixed-use building will comprise approximately 11,050 sqm of A grade lettable office space to accommodate over 900 employees, and includes retail commercial space, an underground car park and end-of-trip facilities.
Construction is scheduled to begin in March 2020, and is estimated to create 250 jobs within Geelong and inject more than $50 million into the local economy.
Quintessential Equity, GMHBA and Kane Constructions are all signatories of the G21 Region Opportunities for Work (GROW) Compact, an initiative focused on maximising economic and social outcomes in the Geelong region.
Kane Constructions recently completed the second stage of the Geelong Arts Centre Redevelopment, the National Disability Insurance Agency Headquarters, and a number of projects at Deakin University.
