CHARTER Hall has been given the green light from the City of Melbourne to begin demolition works as part of the $1.5 billion redevelopment at 555 Collins Street in the CBD.
A development application was lodged with the Victorian Department of Planning in mid-April by the group’s $5.4 billion wholesale Prime Office Fund for a commercial tower on the 4,620 sqm site.
The first phase of the proposal includes 45,000 sqm of premium grade office space across approximately 35 levels. Charter Hall is working with Cox Architecture and international design and architecture firm Gensler.
Plans include connections between Collins Street, King Street and Flinders Lane, food and beverage outlets and health and wellbeing offering.
The building is targeting a 6 Star Green Star, 5 Star NABERS Energy and Platinum WELL certification.
JLL and Colliers are conjunctional leasing agents for the project. Completion is targeted for the middle of 2022.
