URBIS has promoted Matthew Cleary to the role of regional director for Victoria. Clearly has held numerous leadership roles within Urbis, most recently as group director of real estate advisory.
Urbis CEO Ben Pollack said Cleary’s appointment ushers in a new era for the Victorian office.
“Matt has a strong market focus will be looking for new opportunities to work with clients to apply Urbis’ unique multi-disciplinary value to city and community shaping issues,” he added.
Cleary takes over Peter Small, who held the regional director position for over 10 years.
Pollack said during Small’s tenure the Melbourne office saw immense growth, not just in size and client base, but also in the volume of important city-shaping projects. He will remain a director in the planning team.
Cleary said, “I am thrilled to be stepping into this important role and look forward to building on the legacy that Peter Small leaves behind. We have a strong practice in Melbourne, with the Victorian market being key to Urbis’ ongoing growth and success. I am keen to continue this growth with a fresh perspective and look at how we can do things bigger and better in the future.”
