CONSTRUCTION has started on Quest Joondalup at 65 Boas Avenue in Perth’s north.
Developed by M/Group, the property will comprise 90 rooms over five levels as well as onsite parking, a business lounge and gym.
Joondalup City Mayor Albert Jacob was on site to mark the occasion. He was joined by M/Group managing director, Lloyd Clark and Quest Apartment Hotels general manager – growth, James Shields.
“Over the last 20 years, the Joondalup City Centre has flourished into a successful,
highly liveable commercial, civic and cultural destination. Today marks another
significant milestone in our journey, as work begins on this outstanding development. Quest Joondalup will further enhance the vitality and vibrancy of Joondalup, underlining its standing as the CBD of Perth’s northern growth corridor, one of Australia’s fastest growing regions,” Mayor Jacob said.
Shields said the addition of Quest Joondalup will drive traffic and create further job opportunities for the growing community.
“Joondalup is home to over 13,000 businesses and has an estimated population of over 160,000 residents. This population is set to grow by 9.5% between now and 2036, resulting in boosted investment in civic health, education and health infrastructure, creating an increased demand of premium short-term business accommodation.” Shields said.
Quest Joondalup is one of 12 new property openings across Australia, New Zealand and the UK in the next two years, including St Kilda Road, Notting Hill, Burwood East and NewQuay (VIC); Canberra City Walk (ACT); South Perth foreshore (WA); Orange (NSW); Quest on Manchester, Quest Tauranga Central, Quest on Tuam and Quest Mount Eden (NZ) and Liverpool (UK).
