STOCKLAND has started construction on the first townhouses at its masterplanned community, Orion at Braybrook, in Melbourne’s inner-west.
More than 30% of the project has sold. Located just 12.2kms from Melbourne’s CBD, the 11.5ha townhouse community is the largest standalone infill townhouse development in Melbourne’s inner-west.
Orion at Braybrook will comprise up to 422 townhouses on completion.
General manager of retirement living and medium density Ben Cantwell said the start of construction signals a major milestone for Orion at Braybrook.
“This project will set a new benchmark for housing innovation in Melbourne’s inner-west and will offer a wide variety of luxuriously modern, low-maintenance townhouses close to the city.
“We chose Glenvill Projects as our builder partner for Stage 1 because of their many years of experience and excellent track record of quality work,” he added. “Orion at Braybrook is also a key component of Stockland’s strategy to help meet Victoria’s housing demand by providing exceptional housing options for homebuyers at all stages of life.”
Stockland has made a commitment to the City of Maribyrnong to ensure the development meets the council’s 5% Affordable Housing Target.
