THE Victorian government has appointed local developer and family business Castlerock Property to deliver the Latrobe Valley GovHub.
Castlerock Property to develop the GovHub at 65 Church St Morwell, one of the first three to be built in our state, which will house up to 300 workers.
The GovHub will include 150 workers from the Victorian public service including Earth Resources Regulation staff, who will establish a new head office in the Latrobe Valley, Parks Victoria staff working in environment, research and other service functions, and staff from the EPA.
Castlerock is a family business, with owners who went to school and grew up in the Latrobe Valley. They still have strong ties and work closely with established businesses within the region.
The project is expected to cost $25 million and will create up to 100 construction jobs, with work expected to commence later this year and completion in 2020.
The new Morwell based GovHub is part of a $266 million Latrobe Valley transition package to support economic growth, create jobs and drive the businesses and industries of the future.
