ICON Co has been awarded the $150 million construction contract for the Shakespeare Group’s three-tower, 420-apartment St. Boulevard residential development on Melbourne’s St Kilda Road.
It will also include 4,000 sqm of resident amenities and landscapes, with Ellenberg Fraser architects and project managers Sinclair Brook also involved.
Construction has started across all three buildings, names Anaca, Ginko and Magnolia, at once, with completion of the first two towers in late 2019, and the third in early 2020.
“With recent data from .id forecasters indicating 79% of Victorians will live in metropolitan Melbourne by 2037, we understand the need to provide high-quality housing in the city’s highly sought-after inner-ring suburbs,” director of The Shakespeare Group, Catherine Law said.
The project has seen 75% of apartments sold. Selling agents Colliers said it has been popular with the local owner-occupier market.
Icon Co has delivered more than 125 projects worth over $2.5 billion.
