THE Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal has approved Icon Developments’ Cremorne office development.
Designed Wood Marsh, 600 Church St will include 5,264 sqm of office and 535 sqm of retail space over eight levels as well as a landscaped rooftop terrace.
Additionally, there will be three levels of basement car parking for 71 vehicles, 100 bicycle parks and extensive end of trip facilities.
Senior development manager Brinn Tavener said Icon worked in collaboration with Wood Marsh and the City of Yarra to ensure the final design was able to provide a unique offering.
“We worked closely with Wood Marsh and the City of Yarra before submitting the development application in June 2017. From here, we further refined the design based on community feedback and subsequently approval was granted from VCAT on 17 April 2018,” he added.
Demolition of the existing building on site has already begun, with construction of the new office building on track to start in June 2018, with completion anticipated by the end of 2019.
