COMAC Retail Property Group has secured the management contract to the Cairns Sugarworld neighbourhood shopping centre.
Cairns Sugarwold is owned by SCA which acquired the centre last year from ISPT.
Located at 7 Walker Rd Edmonton, the 4,800 sqm centre is anchored by a 3,370 sqm Coles supermarket and 12 speciality shops totalling 1,388 sqm with five shops to lease. Current tenants include Anytime Fitness, a pharmacy, Domino’s pizza and a café,
Comac managing director Michael Haddrick said this is the company’s first management appointment in Queensland, however, Comac manages four shopping centres in Victoria for SCA totalling 25,000 sqm in Wonthaggi, Langwarren, Drouin and Cowes.
The Comac retail management company has secured eight centres totalling 50,000 sqm since it was established in 2016.
