AUSTRALIA is moving into a new phase beyond the residential market boom, and infrastructure is set to play a major role in shaping the nation and its economy.
The Australian Property Institute’s 2017 National Property Conference panel forum will pose the question, “Is infrastructure the next boom?”, and discuss how property is impacted by infrastructure development, how investment in infrastructure is performing, and the impacts of integrating land-use and transport planning.
The expert panel will feature Urbis director and chief economist Nicki Hutley, Macquarie Group division director, infrastructure advisory team, Sammy Isreb, and CoreLogic property market researcher Eliza Owen, to be moderated by Commonwealth Bank’s head of property strategy and research, Kevin Stanley.
Following the success of last year’s event, the API’s National Property Conference is expected the draw around 850 attendees to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre over its two days, Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th.
The event will again offer an unrivalled opportunity for property professionals from around the country to gather, network and learn at a national level. It will offer a mix of plenary and concurrent streams on day one and plenary sessions on day two, including eight keynote plenaries.
Key topics discussed this year will include blockchain and its impact on property, the budding multi-family asset class in Australia, the co-working sector, Amazon’s introduction and its impact on the retail landscape, and much more.
