MONASH University has awarded Multiplex the contract to deliver the $81 million Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building at its Clayton campus in Victoria.
Designed by architects Denton Corker Marshall, the new four levels building plus a lower ground floor and roof plant room, will provide a total of 11,400 sqm of space.
“We are delighted to continue our ongoing collaboration with Monash University and play a pivotal role in its vision for higher education through delivering revolutionary learning spaces,” Multiplex regional managing director Graham Cottam said.
The innovative new Biomedical Learning and Teaching Building also features a 1,200 sqm informal learning hub that can accommodate 400 students, averaging 90 informal learning seats per floor.
Construction is set to commence immediately. The project is scheduled for completion in November, 2018.
