GROWTHPOINT Properties Australia has appointed Josephine Sukkar as a non-executive and independent director
Sukkar is the co-founder and the principal of Buildcorp which she established with her husband, Tony Sukkar, over 27 years ago.
She has significant non executive director experience and is currently a non executive director of Opera Australia, Parramatta Parklands Trust, the Centenary Institute, the Australian Rugby Foundation and the Sydney University Football Club Foundation.
“Having founded and then led a major construction firm and having served on a range of listed, community, sporting, cultural and academic entities, Josephine will enhance the skills of Growthpoint’s existing board,” Growthpoint’s chairman Geoff Tomlinson said. “Her experience in the construction industry will be particularly useful as Growthpoint looks to undertake significant development of its existing property portfolio.”
