WATPAC has won the $63 million development contract for the new NSW Forensic Pathology and Coroner’s Court facility for Health Infrastructure in western Sydney’s Lidcombe.
The facility, a collaboration between NSW Health and the NSW Department of Justice, will comprise a three-level building with identification and waiting rooms, counselling rooms, mortuary, laboratories, conference rooms, court registry and courtrooms, offices and Coroner’s suites.
Construction will begin over the next month and it is expected the facility will be operational by 2019.
Watpac was most recently awarded the managing contractor rights for the $250 North Queensland Stadium project in Townsville.
