SYDNEY investment group Ashe Morgan has started construction on the $150 million redevelopment of the Harbour Town precinct in Melbourne’s Docklands.
The centrepiece and anchor tenant of the exciting new Entertainment Precinct will be an eight auditorium Hoyts cinema, along with an expanded food and beverage offering.
This latest stage in Harbour Town Melbourne’s redevelopment will mark a significant milestone for the centre, and a new era for Docklands.
With the centre due to rename and relaunch later this year, the redevelopment will see Harbour Town Melbourne transition from its current outlet model, incorporating a number of high profile international and national retail brands to form Melbourne’s newest shopping and lifestyle precinct.
The final stage of the centre’s redevelopment will include a new fresh food marketplace to be anchored by Woolworths, the first full-line supermarket for Docklands.
Ashe Morgan principal Alton Abrahams said with the marked shift of the CBD workforce towards the Docklands, the opportunity is ripe for Docklands to become Melbourne’s gateway to the west.
Following the asset purchase in late 2014, Harbour Town Melbourne has undergone major ambient and aesthetic refurbishment.
