JLL has appointed Andrew Ballantyne as the new head of research in Australia, succeeding Dr David Rees, who is moving to the role of regional director, JLL research strategy – Asia Pacific.
Ballantyne is a national director and currently provides specialist investment analysis. He joined JLL in 2007 as Victorian head of research and subsequently moved into a national role as head of strategic research, Australia.
Rees moves to a regional role spanning Asia Pacific property markets after leading the Australian Research team since 2008.
“Andrew’s extensive market knowledge will ensure JLL continues to provide the most in-depth and expert property research for our clients,” Australia CEO Stephen Conry said said.
“David’s expertise spans a number of market sectors including real estate, equity and commodity markets and this has greatly enhanced JLL’s Research capability in Australia, which he will now take to the regional level.
“This is an exciting change to our team as we plan ahead for the continued growth of our business in Australia for which Research will continue to be an essential part,” Conry said.
