THE Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) has appointed Michael Manikas as the head of industry development.
Manikas is the former chief executive of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and brings more than two decades of experience.
“During his time as CEO at AIQS, Michael transformed the organisation into a forward-thinking and sustainable operation – establishing online training, developing the Certified Quantity Surveyor trademark, and building the on-demand AIQS Academy. Michael’s insight, experience and strong networks will be invaluable as we drive continuous improvements to our professional development program,” GBCA CEO Romilly Madew said.
Manikas has held previous roles with Turner & Townsend, Australand, Built, Mirvac and Davis Langdon.
