WATPAC will develop Brisbane’s $1.1 billion Herston Quarter project after entering into an agreement with preferred tenderer Australian Unity.
The 5ha project is adjacent to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and will include a public rehabilitation hospital, a private hospital, residential aged care, retirement living and student accommodation, health research, childcare, a co-working hub and education and training facilities.
The Queensland Government earlier this month named Australian Unity as the preferred tenderer for the project, with first stage work expected to commence next year.
