BROOKFIELD Multiplex has completed Walker Corporation’s $300 million Tower Two at the landmark Collins Square development at 727 Collins St in Melbourne’s CBD.
The building comprising a 38-storey building and is the second building Brookfield Multiplex has constructed Collins Square precinct, after the $205 million 25-level Tower One in 2013.
Collins Square is a $2.5 billion development consisting of five inter-connected commercial office towers providing a combined total of 185,000 sqm net lettable area over a whole city block. It is expected to be completed in mid-2018.
“We are delighted to have delivered the second stage of Collins Square. This project responds to the demand for brand new Premium-Grade commercial space in Melbourne CBD and its design continues the laneway character of the surrounding streetscapes,” Brookfield Multiplex Victoria regional manager Graham Cottam said.
The development is environmentally sustainable and has received a 5 Star Green Star Design and is targeting an As Built v3 Rating as well as a NABERS Energy 5 Star rating.
Brookfield Multiplex is also currently constructing Tower Four of the Collins Square development, a $180 million 21-level mixed-use tower and a six-level car park providing just over 200 car spaces. Tower Four is scheduled for completion in
August, 2016.
