THE University of New South Wales (UNSW) has awarded Brookfield Multiplex the contract to deliver the $125 million Biological Sciences building at Kensington campus in Botany St Randwick.
The nine-storey 21,730 sqm building is the third stage of the regeneration and expansion of the Biomedical Precinct at UNSW, addressing the long-term accommodation needs of the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences and the School of Biotechnology and Bimolecular Sciences, as well as the functional needs of the wider precinct.
“We are delighted to continue our relationship with UNSW. Our ability to draw upon our extensive experience and expertise in delivering high-quality research and educational facilities within live environments will greatly assist us in delivering this project,” Brookfield Multiplex New South Wales regional managing director David Ghannoum said.
Brookfield Multiplex has completed several projects for UNSW over the past five years including the $54 million University Terraces student accommodation, the $125 million Materials Science and Engineering Building and the $85 million Tyree Energy Technologies Building.
