DEVELOPER Rayjon Group has started work on the new $180 million Vantage Gold Coast project.
Rayjon has awarded the civil works tender to Nyholt Constructions, which will prepare the site for construction of stage one of the project, which includes the Dusk and Eve apartment towers and a recreation hub.
Construction of stage one is expected to commence towards the end of this year, and will take approximately 12 months to complete.
Work is already well underway on the new Coles Benowa Shopping Village adjacent to the Vantage site, with framework for the building now going up and the retail hub expected to open in early 2016.
Nyholt Constructions managing director Richard Nyholt said they company looks forward to delivering the project/
“Nyholt Construction has been active in South East Queensland for over 30 years and we actually completed the civil works for Royal Pines Resort across the road, so we are very familiar with this area and look forward to being a part of delivering this exciting new project,” he added.
Vantage is being marketed by CBRE Gold Coast director Chris Litfin, who said activity on site would spark the interest of prospective buyers.
“I expect enquiry will jump now that work is underway on Vantage.
“The fact that construction is now underway should help those needing to sell their existing property to plan for their imminent move. Now that the site is being levelled and pegged buyers will also be able to see exactly how much room is being dedicated to open space,” Litfin said.
