JLL has appointed engineering and environmental expert Simone Concha as the new director of sustainability – Australia.
Concha brings more than 15 years of experience to her new role, which will see her co-ordinating the delivery of sustainability services activities across all business lines in Australia.
Concha is a member of the Green Building Council of Australia, a Green Star Accredited Professional and Certified Assessor. She has been an active Certified Assessor since 2007, assessing many Green Star ratings throughout Australia during this time.
“Simone will play a key role in further enhancing our Sustainability offering to our clients,” JLL Australia’s CEO Stephen Conry.
“JLL was the first corporate real estate firm to offer sustainable real estate services.
“Her wealth of experience and dedication to the principles of sustainability will be a great asset to JLL as we continue to find ways to improve outcomes including energy efficiency and alternative energy options for our clients,” he said.
Concha holds a double degree Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Environmental) and Bachelor of Arts (Japanese Language and Culture) from the University of Technology in Sydney.
Most recently, she was sustainability manager for Hansen Yuncken. She has also been a sustainability consultant with Advanced Environmental and prior to that, she a Graduate Engineer at Multiplex Constructions.
“At JLL, one of Simone’s key roles will be to further develop our renewable energy advisory service,” JLL’s head of energy and sustainability services for Asia Pacific Peter Hilderson said.
