WALKER Corporation has awarded Brookfield Multiplex the job to construct the fourth tower within the $1.8 billion Collins Square development at 727 Collins St.
The 22 levels tower will feature approximately 40,000 sqm of office space over 15 floors and a six-storey car park with 200 car spaces.
Brookfield Multiplex has also been contracted to undertake the transition works for the Stage 1 and Stage 2 concourse and retail area. This work includes the installation of the permanent retail plaza roof, and the completion of the Stage 1 Collins St entries, with all works being conducted partly out of trading hours to minimise impact to trade.
“We are very pleased to have won Stage 4 and maintain our involvement with Walker Corporation, having completed Stage 3 and with Stage 2 now under construction, as we help deliver this market leading commercial development,” Brookfield Multiplex Victoria regional managing director Graham Cottam said.
Three towers are already complete at Collins Square. Construction of Tower Four commenced in May 2015 and is expected to be complete in August, 2016.
Collins Square spans an entire city block and consists of five commercial office buildings providing over 200,000 sqm of space.
