STOCKLAND has appointed Dr Nora Scheinkestel to the board.
Stockland chairman Graham Bradley she brings experience as a company director across a range of sectors including property, financial services, utilities and infrastructur.
Dr Scheinkestel (FAICD) is a director of Telstra, Orica and Macquarie Atlas Roads which she chairs and its stapled entity, Macquarie Atlas Roads International.
She is also an associate professor at the Melbourne Business School at Melbourne University, a member of the Takeovers Panel, and in 2003, was awarded a Centenary Medal for services to Australian society in business leadership.
“Nora is highly respected for her financial and strategic acumen. We look forward to her contributing to Stockland’s ongoing success.” Bradley said.
Meanwhile directors Terry Williamson and Duncan Boyle will retire from their positions.
Williamson joined the Stockland board in 2003 and has served on numerous committees, including serving as chair of the Stockland Audit Committee for the past 12 years.
Boyle has served as a Stockland director since 2007. He is currently a member of the Human Resources Committee and previously served on the Risk Committee, Audit Committee and as Chair of the Sustainability Committee.
Following these changes, the board will now comprise Graham Bradley (chairman), Carolyn Hewson, Barry Neil, Tom Pockett, Nora Scheinkestel, Carol Schwartz and Peter Scott.
