NOMINATIONS are now open for the Australian Property Institute’s (API) NSW 2015 Excellence in Property Awards.
API NSW President, George Vallas, said the API was pleased to be hosting the awards for the 18th year, which recognise outstanding achievement in the property profession and the built and natural environments.
“These awards have a long and proud history of recognising a diverse range of metropolitan and regional projects that demonstrate industry best practice and innovation,” Vallas said.
Nominations are now open for the 2015 awards, which include the following categories:
– Clayton Utz Young Achiever of the Year – made to an API member aged 35 or under who has contributed to their organisation and/or the property industry and achieved outstanding performance.
– Commonwealth Bank of Australia Funds Management Award – made to a listed or unlisted property trust or syndicate which has achieved superior industry performance.
– JLL Heritage Award – made to an individual or organisation in recognition of outstanding treatment of heritage issues in the context of development projects, adaptive reuse and conservation.
– NABERS Environmental Award – made to an individual or organisation in recognition of outstanding treatment of environment issues. This may include a development project or industry study.
– NSW Valuer General Valuation Award – given to a valuation firm which has provided exceptional value to clients in the banking sector.
– Opteon Property Group Property Industry Innovation Award – made to an individual or team who has demonstrated leadership and innovation which either led to a change in the property industry, or a new concept or technological advancement.
– Preston Rowe Paterson Local Government Award – made to an individual or local government organisation that has delivered or influenced the delivery of a completed project that contributes to the local community.
– Ray White Property Development Awards – two awards (one for a project under $25 million and one for a project over $25 million) given to an individual or organisation in honour of outstanding work on a single development or group of developments.
Projects entered in all categories must have been completed within the last two years preceding the entry deadline.
Nominations close on 4 September 2015 and the winners will be announced at a cocktail function on 29 October 2015.
