LASALLE Investment Management international director Ian Mackie has relocated from Singapore to Brisbane, to deal with the growing number of global investors' interest in the local market.
Mackie moved from Brisbane to Singapore in 1994 and will return to Brisbane, where he will be based in LaSalle’s Brisbane office, in Waterfront Place.
LaSalle was established in Asia Pacific in 2000 and now manages $5.8 billion in real estate assets across the region with local offices in Brisbane and Sydney.
Mackie spent almost 21 years in Singapore and is a founding member of the LaSalle team in Asia Pacific. Until recently, he was President of LaSalle’s Asia Opportunity Fund series and Japan Logistics Fund series.
More recently, Mackie took on the role of “Strategic Partnerships” in Asia Pacific.
“I’m excited to relocate to Brisbane and continue my role of Strategic Partnerships there,” Mackie. “There are a large number of global investors who are becoming increasingly interested in direct real estate investment and I’m very much looking forward to working with them to match their investment needs through LaSalle’s global platform.”
