LASALLE Investment Management has appointed Leigh Warner as a national director, research and strategy for Australia.
Warner joins LaSalle from JLL where he was a director. Prior to that, he worked at Reserve Bank of Australia where he was an economist. He started his career as a researcher at Queensland Treasury in Brisbane.
Warner holds an Honours degree in Economics from University of Queensland. He is also currently a board member of Compass Housing Queensland, an incorporated, not-for-profit community and affordable housing company.
He will be based Brisbane and will report to Paul Guest, head of research & strategy, Asia Pacific.
Guest said Warner will play an important role in providing analysis and strategy on the property market in Australia, a key source of capital and investment destination for LaSalle.
“We are delighted to have Leigh on board, given the importance of Australia to LaSalle. His extensive experience in real estate and research will help LaSalle interpret the macro trends, sharpen our strategy and broaden our investments in the Australian market,” he added.
