THE Property Industry Foundation (PIF) has raised $210,000 for homeless young people from its sell-out Annual Charity Ball on Friday 25 July.
Sponsored by Ganellen, the ‘Once Upon A Time In Shanghai’ themed night saw close to 500 guests gather at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney, to help raise funds to build the next “PIF House” partnering with Parramatta City Council – a much needed special home for homeless young people, under the care of Marist Youth Care.
“We are incredibly thankful for the continued support that we receive from the property and construction industry in helping us raise awareness and funds for at risk youth. We successfully surpassed this year’s target amount and look forward to being able to use the funds raised to help young people at risk,” PIF national CEO Rosemary Smithson said.
Last year’s Annual Charity Ball raised $200,000 which provided funding for PIF’s next charity building project with proceeds supporting housing and home-care for young people taking part in the foundation’s employment program “Rebuild a Young Life” initiative.
