STOCKLAND has appointed Tom Pockett, Woolworths' former CFO to the board of directors.
Pockett served as CFO of Woolworths from 2002 and was appointed a director of Woolworths in 2006. He retired from Woolworths on 1 July this year.
Prior to joining Woolworths, he was Deputy CFO of the Commonwealth Bank (2000 – 2002) and held several senior finance roles with Lend Lease (1988 – 2000).
“Tom is a high calibre director with outstanding capability and experience. We are delighted to welcome him to our board,” Stockland chairman Graham Bradley said.
“Not only will Tom bring deep practical experience as a senior finance executive, but he will also bring to our Board his extensive experience in the retailing sector, supply chain logistics management and property development and management.
“His business and professional experience will deepen the Board’s capabilities in several areas and will enable him to contribute to Stockland’s business strategy and future performance,” Bradley added.
