CBRE has promoted Tom Edwards to the role as executive managing director, head of valuations & advisory services for Asia Pacific.
Edwards joined CBRE nine years ago as part of the firm’s acquisition of the DTZ Brisbane business in Australia, and he went on to establish the firm’s residential valuations business in Australia, which is the largest practise in Australia and one of the CBRE’s most profitable businesses.
The team currently values circa $AU100 billion in Australian residential property on an annual basis, representing approximately 1,200 residential valuations per day.
He succeeds Mike Steur who is retiring from the company after more than 25 years.
CBRE Asia Pacific CEO Danny Queenan said Edwards has the leadership qualities and strategic vision to lead the agency’s Asia Pacific team.
In his new role, Edwards will be based in CBRE’s Singapore office.
