CBRE has scored a recruitment coup in Melbourne, appointing Colonial First State executive Luke Etherington as a director of institutional investments.
Etherington has 13 years property experience, including seven years at Colonial First State as regional portfolio manager. He also held the role of manager of direct property transactions, driving circa $2.2 billion in commercial, industrial and retail transactions.
He is also on the Victorian board of advisors for the Property Industry Foundation and is the current Victorian chairman of Property Blitz.
CBRE senior managing director Victoria Cameron Grier said Etherington would work with the senior capital markets team in Victoria to further bolster the firm’s service offering at both a state and national level.
“Recruiting an executive of Luke’s caliber is testament to the strength of our business and platform. His wide ranging experience, extensive client relationships and knowledge of the Victorian and national commercial market will help drive the continued growth and success of our Capital Markets team and further strengthen our client service offering,” Grier said.
