WALKER Corporation has appointed Brookfield Multiplex to build Tower 2 at Collins Square, which will be the tallest commercial building in the western CBD of Melbourne.
Construction of the 39-storey building will be completed in mid-2016 and is more than 50% pre-committed, with KPMG as the anchor tenant for 30,000 sqm of office space.
Walker Corp is in advanced discussions with other potential tenants.
“We have now delivered over 100,000 sqm of premium office, retail and entertainment space in Collin Square, with our restaurants, food court, child care facilities and cafes now drawing thousands of workers and residents every day,” Lang Walker said.
Walker added that Tower 2 – the third tower to be built in the $1.8 billion, five tower project – would create customised solutions for tenants seeking efficient, productive and comfortable space for staff, clients and customers.
