DEXUS Property Group has appointed Penny Bingham-Hall as a non-executive director.
Bingham-Hall has broad industry experience having spent more than 20 years in a variety of roles with Leighton Holdings prior to retiring from the company at the end of 2009.
Dexus Funds management Limited chair Chris Beare said her appointment followed an extensive search and she will bring more diversity to the board.
“This appointment is part of our continuing board renewal process which began when Dexus was formed as DB RREEF in 2004, and with the more recent retirement of two long standing directors at the 2013 AGM,” he added.
Bingham-Hall is currently a non-executive director of BlueScope Steel, Sydney Ports Corporation, SCEGGS Darlinghurst Limited and Taronga Conservation Society Australia.
Bingham-Hall recently retired as a director of Australia Postal Corporation. She also served as the inaugural Chair of Advocacy Services Australia Limited (a not-for-profit organisation promoting the interests of the Australian tourism, transport, infrastructure and related industries) from 2008 to 2011, and is a former Director of The Global Foundation (a member-based organisation promoting high-level thinking within Australia and cooperation between Australia and the world).
She has also previously held directorships with other industry and community organisations, including Infrastructure Partnerships Australia, the Tourism and Transport Forum, and the Australian Council for Infrastructure Development.
This appointment results in the DXFM board now comprising seven non-executive directors and two executive directors.
