WATPAC has been awarded a $34 million contact from Charles Sturt University to deliver stage 1 of its campus at Port Macquarie.
The first stage comprises 5,700 sqm of education and research space as well as car parking for up to 350 vehicles.
Watpac CEO Martin Monro said construction would commence immediately on the project, which will deliver important educational facilities for students in Port Macquarie and the surrounding region.
“The project is a welcome addition to our workbook in the region which includes the $65 million Port Macquarie Base Hospital Expansion, the $46 million redevelopment of Kempsey District Hospital and the University of New South Wales’ $14 million Joint Health Education Facility,” he added.
With Stage 1 expected to be completed and ready to welcome staff and students in February 2016.
