COLLIERS International has appointed Gus Moors to the role of national director, transaction services, hotels.
Prior to joining Colliers, Moors headed up asset management for Tourism Asset Holdings Limited (TAHL) for the past four years. He was instrumental in the sell down of TAHL’s $1.5 billion worth of hotels, including the recent sale of its leased portfolio for some $800 million to Abu Dhabi Investment Authority – Australia’s largest ever hotel transaction.
Prior to TAHL, Moors was head of asset management and chief operating officer, Asia Pacific for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.
“TAHL has been the most active vendor in the market these past four years, and my involvement in all facets of the transaction will help me guide our clients through each stage of the sales process,” Moors said.
“We’re delighted to have Gus join our team during this period of significant growth,” Colliers managing director hotels Asia Pacific Stephen Burt said.
“Our hotels division is poised for strong growth and this appointment further delivers on our strategy to build Australasia’s most experienced hotel transaction and advisory team,” Burt said.
