MANTRA Group has opened two new properties in Brisbane and Townsville.
The group has secured the management of the recently refurbished Skyline Court apartment complex, which will be rebranded to BreakFree Fortitude Valley Brisbane.
The BreakFree Fortitude Valley Brisbane is located 2km from Brisbane CBD and brings the total number of rooms under management in the city to 420.
In Townsville, it has secured a brand new 185-room hotel set to open in 2016 as part of a restaurant and leisure precinct planned for the city’s CBD, to be known as Mantra Townsville.
Mantra Group CEO Bob East said the project was both a win for Townsville and for the Mantra brand which currently has over 50 Mantra hotels and resort across Australia.
“The Townsville market is definitely ready for a new project like this and with Mantra being one of Australia’s most dynamic hotel brands we are pleased to have a presence in this fast developing region,” he added.
East said the company is currently negotiating to add further apartment hotels in Brisbane and Melbourne and will sign the new contracts in April.
