THE Real Estate Institute of New South Wales has elected Malcolm Gunning as the new president.
REINSW CEO Tim McKibbin said Gunning is a 35-year industry veteran with extensive experience across all areas of the profession.
“From residential to commercial and franchise to independent agencies, his knowledge is second to none and we are delighted by his election as president,” he added.
With over 20 years as Principal of Gunning Commercial, Malcolm became partner in Richardson & Wrench Surry Hills/Redfern earlier this year after the Gunning group recognised the opportunity to diversify the business model to include a residential agency.
“Over the course of my career I’ve worked in most areas of real estate, and now own both an independent commercial agency and a residential franchise agency,” Gunning said.
Elected to the board of directors in 2007, Gunning became deputy president in 2011.
He replaces outgoing president Christian Payne who will remain on the REINSW board.
