CONSTRUCTION lawyer Nathan Abbott has joined the Melbourne office of Colin Biggers & Paisley.
Abbott has acted on construction disputes in all Australian jurisdictions and he also works in the non-contentious areas of construction law, providing advice and drafting and negotiating contracts on behalf of his clients.
“For me, having the chance to help develop CBP’s construction practice in Melbourne was too good an opportunity to miss,” Abbott said.
“CBP has historically made construction law a priority. The firm is highly regarded and it has good relationships within the sector. Expanding the construction team’s reach within the Melbourne market is a challenge I relish,” he added.
CBP managing partner Dunstan de Souza said the firm’s entry into the Melbourne legal market, the firm has been keen to boost the capabilities.
“Construction is a vital practice area for us and we were determined that the skills within the Sydney office be mirrored in Melbourne,” de Souza said.
