QUEENSLAND-based property advisory group THG has appointed planning and urban management expert Michael Kerry to its executive team.
CEO Tim Connolly said Kerry brings with him a depth of senior experience across both the government and private sectors, in city and regional planning, governance, infrastructure planning, major projects and urban development.
“With Michael’s appointment, THG clients in Brisbane, and in our regional Whitsunday Surveys offices in Mackay, Proserpine and Bowen, now have direct access to one of Australia’s leading thinkers in city and regional planning in their day-to-day interface with the company,” he added.
Kerry was formerly managing director, planning, design and development – Australia, New Zealand for AECOM. He is most well known in Queensland for his leading role in the establishment of the state government’s Office of Urban Management in 2004 and as head of the Urban Management Unit in Brisbane City Council for 12 years. He was also a director of the South Bank Corporation, an inaugural Director of Brisbane City Enterprises Pty Ltd, and has also worked internationally in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Saudi Arabia.
