THE Victorian government has jumped on the train with QIC Real Estate's $500 million redevelopment of Eastland shopping centre, by unveiling a $66 million upgrade of the Ringwood station precinct.
Victorian premier Dennis Napthine said the station upgrade would be delivered in the upcoming budget, with the project to commence later this year.
“This is a great example of how the Coalition Government is working with the private sector to generate investment and jobs for Victoria.
“QIC needed the coalition government to come on board with the significant redevelopment of the Ringwood station and bus interchange and associated improvements to the Maroondah Highway in order to make their project possible,” he added.
