KNIGHT Frank is restructuring its New Zealand operations by unifying the Auckland and Christchurch businesses.
The Christchurch team, led by managing director Layne Harwood and Linda Coleman, acquired the Knight Frank business in Auckland earlier this week to effectively bringing Knight Frank’s NZ operations under one corporate structure.
“To date, Knight Frank in Auckland has predominantly been an industrial and metro business located in Ellerslie, South Auckland.
“Over the next few weeks, the business will relocate to a new nearby premises to focus on further establishing an Auckland CBD presence and provide a broader range of commercial services including office and retail,” Harwood said.
David Sylvester, Stewart Littlejohn, Josh Franklin and Tim Gemmell, who have played significant leadership roles in the existing Auckland businesses, will remain with the expanded Knight Frank operation. Aaron Toresen, the former head of the Auckland business, will be departing to focus on other business interests.
Knight Frank Australia’s managing director Kevin Coppel said the restructuring will provide a strong platform to grow the company’s presence in this important market.
