THE Property Industry Foundation has had another successful year at its Annual Charity Yachting Regatta in Sydney, raising some $400,000 for young people at risk.
The event held at the Middle Harbour Yacht Club in Mosman, sponsored by Colliers International, has become a favourite for the industry and is one of PIF’s core fundraiser events for the year with proceeds directed to a number of charity programs and building projects.
“The event received outstanding support again this year despite a cautious economy, with around 90 boats taking part in the racing events and well over 1,500 participants taking part in the day’s activities,” PIF CEO Rosemary Smithson said.
“We are honoured to have been involved in yet another successful PIF Charity Sailing Regatta, and are thrilled at the generosity of those who attended – the money raised from this event will make a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged children,” Colliers Australasia CEO and chairman of PIF board of advisors John Kenny said.
Overall line honours was awarded to Crone Partners aboard ‘Kookaburra’ in the First Division.
Investa Land was placed second on ‘Sydney’ with Altus Page Kirkland in third place on board ‘Spirit’.
